Coinciding with the 3rd of Safar al-Ahzan 1447 AH, a mourning ceremony marking the martyrdom of Lady Ruqayyah, daughter of Imam Husayn (peace be upon her), was held at Hussainiya al-Imam al-Husayn ibn Ali Sayyid al-Shuhada (peace be upon him) — one of the centers affiliated with the religious authority — in the city of Beirut, Lebanon.

During the event, Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Ali al-Atrash delivered a sermon, elaborating on the oppression suffered by Lady Ruqayyah and her lofty spiritual status.

The gathering was attended by Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Yusuf Mulla Hadi, representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husayni Shirazi (may his shadow endure) in Kuwait, along with a group of devotees of Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them).
